How Do You Give A Handshake? Do You Know What It Can Mean?

Sometime in my final days in the university, I was fascinated by the wisdom expounded by a speaker who was a lecturer back then at a church gathering. I felt intrigued to get closer to this adroit man and express a word of appreciation for the knowledge he shared with us.  I forced my way through the crowd and finally entered the zone of this gray-haired man. He was attentively addressing some concerns from other participants, so I waited for a moment.  As he finished with them, I went closer with a smile and my hand stretched. Immediately he reciprocated with a smile and held my palm with a firm grip (not crushing). I told him, “I was thrilled by his message and that I’ve leant a lot from it.”

The crux of this moment that I want to emphasize is that, I had a pre-knowledge about handshake depicting your personality through a non-verbal communication pdf book I read.
